$NFG.v has more immediate value than $NAK

New Found Gold keeps drilling on their project in Newfoundland and keep hitting. They have a 100,000 meter drill program and seem to be releasing positive news results every week or two. This is the biggest gold discovery in years and it is shallow and in an mine friendly jurisdiction. There is way too much to list but this company is only going up. Most forecasts I have seen is for it to be trading over $10 but you should do some DD and confirm that for your self. I have been in and out of this one for the last three months and missed more gains than I got because I have been trading it instead of holding. If you want a long play I think this is it.
Some info I received yesterday.
NFG’s Keats Zone Compares Favorably with KL Swan Zone Bob Moriarty Archives Oct 29, 2020 Just an interesting aside for those considering cutting their wrists after Wednesday’s decline, the DSI for gold is 19 and for silver 17. I would like to see both go down to 10 or below. I may not get my wish. We are near a bottom. Loyal 321gold readers and Novo shareholders are well aware I am writing a book about the Novo saga. I plan to release it the day Novo does their first gold pour now scheduled for the first half of Feb 2021. In the process of talking to Quinton about events in the book, he talked about his participation in going to Australia on behalf of Eric Sprott to Fosterville. 2015 was not a good year for Eric. He had pretty much been booted from the company he founded as a direct result of the terrible correction in resource juniors that took place from 2011 and didn’t end until the start of 2016. During 2015 Quinton went to Toronto for meetings and stopped in to see Eric to brief him on Novo. Eric indicated that on occasion he would ask Quinton to look over a project for him. In April of 2016 Eric asked Quinton to go visit Newmarket Gold’s Fosterville project in Victoria Australia. Eric owned a lot of Kirkland Lake Gold and was actively buying Newmarket primarily for their Fosterville gold mine. On little more than a hunch he liked the project and wanted Kirkland Lake to merge with Newmarket. Quinton went, did the tour and came back suitably impressed. He encouraged Newmarket to drill down plunge and deeper. They did one deep hole in July and while it had geological sniffs it missed the G-Spot. Quinton went again in August to do a due diligence report for RBC Bank in anticipation of a Kirkland Lake offer. He was still convinced they were about to hit something big. He favored the merger, as did Eric Sprott. At the time Eric was the Chairman of Kirkland Lake. He owned 6.7% of Kirkland Lake Gold and 15% of Newmarket Gold. He pushed for the merger in spite of a lot of pushback in Toronto including from executives in Kirkland. The merger went through and closed in December of 2016 making a combined company worth about $2.4 billion. I’ll guess Eric owned about 10% of the new merged company worth somewhere in the $240 million range. Kirkland shares were about $8. On January 17th of 2017 the new Kirkland Lake reported intercepts of 1,429 g/t Au over 15.15 meters, 356 g/t Au over 7.2m and 83.9 g/t Au over 3.5m just as Quinton Hennigh had predicted they would. If Eric Sprott hasn’t sold any of his Kirkland Lake shares, as of today his $240 million investment would have turned into somewhere in the $1.68 billion range. Listening to Quinton and ignoring the naysayers made him a cool $1.5 billion if he didn’t sell any shares. The zone where KL hit was called the Lower Phoenix Footwall and that doesn’t exactly roll off your tongue so management renamed it the Swan zone. KL has mined 1.5 million ounces of gold from the Swan zone in three years. They still have a mineral reserve of 1.6 million ounces at a grade of 38.6 g/t Au. The Swan zone has made KL the lowest cost gold producer in the world while taking their market cap from $2.4 billion to $16.85 billion. At Fosterville they can produce for $127 an ounce with an AISC of $293 per ounce of gold. It’s not their only mine but it is their richest and contributes 44% of the gold they produce and most of the profit. (Click on image to enlarge) 📷 There is a new kid on the block that appears at first glance to have similar grade but rather than being a kilometer deep such as is the case at Swan, mineralization begins between 20 meters deep at Lotto and 70 meters down at Keats. That could be easily done in an open pit and would be a whole lot cheaper than working underground. Of course, that is New Found Gold (NFG-V) who released a hole back in January that showed 92.86 g/t gold over 19.0 meters. A month ago the company released assay results from the first target on their 100,000-meter drill program at Queensway. The first drill hole targeting the Lotto zone reported two intercepts of incredible mineralization. A near surface hit of 41.2 g/t gold over 4.75 meters began at a depth of 35 meters. That would be about 20 meters below surface and easy to strip and do an open pit. The hole continued with 25.4 g/t gold over 5.15 meters at 57 meters down dip. But what the market really wanted to see were the first holes for the Keats zone, home of the monster hole from January. Those results arrived on October 27th and did not disappoint. Hole 18 reported 24.1 g/t Au over 7.9 meters. Hole 19 showed 31.2 g/t Au over 18.85 meters and hole 23 gave an incredible 41.35 meters of 22.3 g/t gold. Hole 21 showed a still respectable 15.8 g/t gold over 18.35 meters. There are a few takeaways investors should ponder. The distance between the Lotto zone and Keats is about 2.5 km. Lotto has similar grade and thickness to the latest holes at Keats. Lotto is very near surface, which means open pit is certainly possible. If the system connects between Lotto and Keats, which is again possible, only drilling will tell the tale, NFG, has a deposit that is going to make Swan look like chump change. Don’t forget, Swan helped take Kirkland Lake from $2.4 billion to $16.85 billion. Someone did a grade/thickness report for me based on the five holes released to date by New Found Gold. It shows 39.8 g/t Au over 21.25 meters and certainly is similar to that of the Swan zone of Kirkland. But Queensway appears to be a lot larger and much closer to the surface. The market has been looking for a good story to get behind. I believe this is it. You have an incredibly high grade gold deposit near surface located on a highway and only a couple of miles away from a major airport in one of the most mining dependent countries in the world. The mob of unwashed investors who have been chasing Hertz into bankruptcy, Tesla and Bitcon need something to wake their ass up. New Found checks all the boxes. They have a major drill program in progress so there will be news on a constant basis. The company has something like $75 million in the till and can work year round. This is a story that legends are made of. Collin Kettell got together with Denis Laviolette at the end of 2015. (Is that the same Collin Kettell that I taught how to shoot craps about 15 years ago and got him tossed out of a Vegas casino? Who says a 15 year old can’t throw dice?) Correctly they believed the correction in gold was about to end and they wanted to put something in a shell and move it forward. After a lot of searching they settled on the Queensway property near Gander Newfoundland. Noranda and Rubicon had worked on the project in the 1980s and early in the 21st century but had walked away from the area. The claims reverted to the original prospectors in spite of some great sniffs of gold. By 2016 the market began to turn and after working with nine different landowners, the pair locked up Queensway. Rob McEwen was a first round investor, Eric Sprott stepped up to the plate and the company spent $10 million doing a systematic evaluation of the project. Part of the project was called Keats for Allen Keats. At surface it didn’t show any signs of gold but their technical people said it was the best target. Denis liked it a lot and hired Greg Matheson in early 2019. So while Denis Laviolette and Collin Kettell founded the company, found financing and got it moving forward, Greg Matheson was actually the genius that picked the spot to do their first hole. It was a home run out of the park. And about this time Collin and Denis got in touch with Quinton Hennigh, the guy that Eric Sprott credits with the discovery of the Swan zone for Kirkland Lake. Quinton took a look at the core and realized it is identical to that of the Swan zone in Victoria. Quinton took a 15 million-share position for Novo Resources. All together the insiders and management control about 81% of the shares. The price of shares could be explosive once the market gets it. This is going to be a giant home run for everyone involved. When the shares get above $5 in US pesos brokers in the US will be allowed to recommend it. I’d highly suggest to management that they prepare for a US big board listing right now. I think Queensway is bigger than Fosterville. And I believe it will make the same sort of contribution to the market cap of NFG that Swan did for Kirkland Lake. Today NFG has a market cap of right at $450 million Canadian. That’s going to change a lot in a hurry. Investors at this price are going to see a return of hundreds of percent. Soon. NFG is an advertiser. I have bought shares so naturally I am biased. Do your own due diligence. There is no limit to where this company could go. [Poetic Inheritance]Rubicon

IT had named the ship “Omega”. Although as if in IT’s sleep, it had given the ship another name. One only a few members of the crew knew of.
They were the last to leave, the last survivors of Humanity. The last, greatest Ark to carry them beyond that wretched war. There had been other Arks, although none made in quite the same way. It was unknown if other Humans had survived, but only the Omega had a proper fold drive.
Fortunately the Fold Drive and supporting systems seemed to be the most well integrated and dependable. And the best tuned. That tuning was almost the most important. Much of the ship was undergoing constant maintenance and tweaking however. It was as if IT was only able to build the ship in steps and then couldn’t keep the previous steps quite straight.
Captain Kyra Lynn watched the monitor as it displayed the simulation of the starfield that would greet them as they arrived at their destination. The Fold drive was rising to a higher pitched hum. It penetrated every wall and every barrier creating an inescapable background of noise. It had been quite high pitched when they first entered Fold, then it had mellowed to a dull tone on the edge of hearing. Some found it unsettling. Like many of the rest, Kyra Lynn found it soothing. Like the sound of running water in the background, she merely had to concentrate on the sound for it to pull her emotions to a calm state. Right now she didn’t think anyone was a fan.
She paced around the perimeter of the large bridge to stand behind the man in command of the ship’s fold drive. “Drivesman Horte, status?”
The Drivesman in training remained professional, not breaking his attention from the monitor before him. Pretty good for a recent teenage civilian. “E.T.A. of 4 minutes and 21 seconds Captain,” he reported, his voice remaining impressively steady for the young man. She’d heard his voice crack plenty of times, but it didn’t today. Officer Stamps observed the trainee from his monitor next to the young man.
She gazed at the graphics and statistics slowly shifting on the monitor. The Fold Drive had surprised the eggheads she remembered. They had though it might work like ‘folding a sheet of paper’ and then punching through to the other side. Apparently the trick was something like ‘riding the half being folded’.
Captain Kara Lynn left the poor trainee to return to her chair. Loom over him any longer and he would start to get nervous. Proper training was a luxury for this crew, and he really was looking promising.
The basis of the Fold drive was all beyond her really, but the practical functions interested her. More power didn’t mean you moved faster. It just increased the size of the ‘paper being folded’, allowing more to ride that paper. Or allowing for a greater range of folding. The speed of the fold depended on the drive being properly tuned.
Their estimated folding time was two months at full range. Quite a while to be stuck in a single ship. But what a ship, and what a distance. They called it a ship, but it in truth was a station, with all of the size and mobility of a station.
But more than that it, was a gift.
IT had given them this station as the first of its gifts and the wrapper for the rest. It was a home in the stars. The means to travel those stars. The repository of knowledge to choose their path.
“It will be a relief to complete the fold,” noted Governor Aaron Tothe. It was him who oversaw the collected civilians aboard the ship. The first month had been spent deciding on who would fill the position. Him, a petty official from the moon Titan, had made the cut.
Kyra only smiled. They had chosen their cliff and thrown themselves off into the wind, it was only chance that had handed them the glider moments before they jumped. She looked forward to seeing where the wind would take them.
I am the wind.
The world is forever within my reach.
As are you.
Hive Mother Ember Heart of the 27th system regarded the ‘ship’ that had unfolded in the territory of her star.
A massive thing to rival any brood ship and far more. A central column with four great long blocks like massive fins. Three rings within those fins rotated around the pillar. Those rings could house a handful of millions. The blue-grey metal of the ship glittered, untarnished by life and travel. The ship smelled new. And no hive had ever seen its like.
Such a creation was a huge investment. Even more so to travel by itself without escort. As her void spores approached the ship, a grey mass spilled from the front of the massive ship. It expanded into space, forming a bubble around the vessel. As it reached its desired form its colour shifted to a near translucent gold. Much like the liquid life that sustained the brood.
But the Grey mass had identified the ship. It was Human.
The knowing caste arrived with the equipment gained from the Tet Techak Let. Her servants connected the system and powered on its life source. A message was sent.
“I am Ember Heart of the [27th] system of the Glorious Brood. State your origin and intention,” She paused for a moment then continued. “Or say nothing and we shall introduce you to the might of our horde.”
The monitor flickered and the faces that appeared caused her antennae to shrink imperceptibly.
“I am Captain Kyra Lynn of the Human Ark, Omega. I have come to claim the Right of Victory.”
Ember Heart hissed, her servants chittered in surprise. This time her antennae retracted fully.
“That is an agreement with the Tet Techak Let! By what right do you assert your claim!”
The creature blinked. She could see the flush of blood to the Human’s face. She too was reacting, but what it meant, Ember did not know.
“The Tet Techak Let fooled you into attacking us,” The Human spoke slowly. “Your numbers seemingly endless, and yet we fought off all you sent our way. I now know that three whole Broods crushed themselves upon the shores of Terra. The Tet Techak Let claim their right simply upon defeating a single brood.”
“And upon our refusal?”
The Human tilted her head and looked away for a moment, then looked back. “Then we will be on our way. We have already had our pound of flesh. We’re here for allies… for friends, not enemies.”
I will embrace you,
But I shall not delay your travels.
That is the epitaph of terra.
“I will go,” whispered her fifth daughter, Gleaming Spark.
Ember regarded her youngest daughter. Her wings had come in, and her colours were bright, even if she was something of a runt. Truly it would be time for her to go, if Ember Heart had not given up a portion of her brood to the invasion. Even more so, as fifth, there was almost no inheritance left for her. Only through curious and dedicated pursuit of knowledge and the wisdom it provided even allowed the young princess to survive the contest.
Gleaming Spark was only beginning to display her adulthood. Her Older sisters were already in the midst of a vicious competition for ascendance. There was little room for Ember’s favorite daughter to succeed.
“You do not know of the Humans,” Ember argued. “You do know know what they will do.”
Gleaming dropped her head and allowed her antennae to droop. “I have studied the logs, watched all there was to watch. Even if foolishly, I have allowed myself to be absorbed by this invasion… I have seen all we have to see of them. These Humans... there is no ‘rage’ in these eyes.”
Ember allowed her mind to drift back. She had seen the memories as well. Seen those Human eyes twisted by emotion, words shouted with flying spittle. Her daughter was right. If there was any anger left within these Humans, she could not see it.
“This ship is massive, but they have no home. You will never possess a true swarm without betraying them.
“Perhaps, but you must know I do not lust for power like my sisters.”
Ember paused. It was true, and she had lamented this fact. Others had borne daughters such as this, and they often advanced the knowledge of skill of the Brood. Few considered a runt princess to be better off for it. But now suddenly it promised an opportunity for this princess. If any of her daughters could live alongside the Humans, it was Gleaming. Her daughter knew this better than she.
Still. “I have only a limited resources to spare. I can spare few brood with wisdom and experience. You will start from a position of exceptional weakness.”
“Then our conversation starts there,” Gleaming Spark replied.
I bring the discovery of new things,
But you must forge what is needed.
Gather the inferno to be your strength.
With information stolen from the Tet, Kyra had a number of interesting choices granted to her. She had taken a big gamble on the Brood. She’d banked on the idea that her feelings were much like the rest of the crew. Learning the truth of the invasion had transferred their hate and fear of the brood almost entirely to the ones who instigated the attack. The Brood was indeed terrible, but they only had the brutality and viciousness of animals. There was no hate in the invasion. it was also true that the Humans had crushed five times their own number in alien bugs.
Surely there would still be Humans who hated and feared the Brood. The talks however had gone just as good, and just as badly as they needed to buoy Kyra’s belief in things working out. If it had gone perfectly she probably would have found a way to sabotage the talks. Gleaming Spark however brought not avarice or lust, but hope to the talks. Her mother, Ember Heart had fought for the best concessions. There were no demands, threats or ultimatums. The Queen and her princess brought only negotiations, creating their first civil encounter with the Brood. It made her optimistic for the future.
She stood next to her chair in the center of the bridge, waiting for the technicians on the right to finish their work.
At first they had wondered why the Hive was still attacking alongside the Tet Techak Let. The records aboard Omega had cleared it up. Upon defeat in combat against the Spikes, the Brood would surrender portions of their armies and fleets to the Tet. In this way they staved off further invasion from their superior enemy. The Brood were left alone and the Tet had themselves some expendable pawns to support their economy of war. The Brood was never allied with the Spikes, but often subservient.
Reading about this had inspired Kyra to make the suggestion of co-existence. Twisting the logic of their hated enemies was a perk as well. The little revenges were nice, Kyra didn’t expect she’d be around to personally see anyone get back at the Tet.
Also, considering the other choices they had already made, this one became easy by comparison.
Seeing the brood in person supported that decision. The warriors and workers of the brood moved with inhuman precision and unity. They frightened the civilians at first. But the ‘farmers’ were smaller iridescent round-shelled bugs that moved with dainty care and clearly enjoyed the presence of the Humans. They were warm, clean and enjoyed scratches. And they made honey. Delicious, abundant honey. Although, the literal translation for the golden liquid was ‘life’.
Their queen to be, Gleaming Spark, was a shimmering red and gold creature that moved with commanding grace. This was occasionally spoiled by youthful exuberance and childish curiosity. The gap between her attitudes and her towering size was startling and charming. And it was true she was incredibly dangerous looking, All bladed limbs, wide plates and lithe feline grace. But Gleaming Spark had proven gentle as a dog with a baby. The first gentle but firm handshake had revealed the control and consideration of the Queen-to-be.
Humanity had ceded a ring to her, the space barely touched by Human hands. They’d had to remain in Brood space to complete the third ring however. The Human population filled one ring, lightly explored the second and ran the rest of the ship. The small brood carefully explored what gaps they could fill. And there were many gaps indeed.
This had been the most difficult part of the transition. Ember Heart’s other daughters poked at the ship constantly, looking for reaction or advantage. They wanted to attack the ship to bolster their claims. Having what Kyra eventually learned was a ‘runt princess’ pull one over them was quite an offense. The careful leaking of this detail may have been what saved the friendship.
It was a far smoother arrangement than either side could ever have predicted.
“All complete Captain, everything checks out, sir,” reported one of the technicians at the side of the Bridge.
“Good, relay my invitation to Gleaming Heart,” Krya ordered. “I would love to have her aboard the bridge at least in spirit.”
There was at least one chuckle as the request was sent.
The field lit up and the form of the Princess took shape, quickly gaining resolution. Kyra’s breath caught for a moment. The Hive queens looked like a great artist had combined the form of a dragon with that of an insect. Gleaming Heart was a beautiful example of this. While it was segmented, her body appeared like the long serpentine form of old western dragons. Her wings, when she felt like showing them off were translucent rainbow curtains, hidden in binder-like red gold shells.
Her limbs were also segmented, although the final joints resembled pointed plates that she balanced on to walk around. Those plates hid proper digits for when she needed to grip onto the ground, but she seemed to avoid doing so out of pride. To display the vulnerable digits when she didn’t have to was a small point of trust.
As she came into view, she was resting on her belly, almost like a lounging cat. Her forelimbs were crossed, one over the other. Her second and third sets of limbs were tucked close in at her sides.
The words, “Dignitary on deck,” announced her full arrival as her holographic representation completed full resolution. A notation above her image stated she had audio before fading out of sight.
The Princess’ tail, whip-like upon arrival on Omega, had since begun to swell. Soon she would be a full fledged Queen as that tail completed its transformation into an extended abdomen. The end of it dissipated into digital mosaic as it rested outside the range of the recording chamber. Her wedge shaped head tilted, then rotated to face Captain Kyra. A pair of huge black opalescent eyes regarded the Captain. Those eyes then blinked shut as the head dropped. Four long antenna extending from the back of her head dropped in respectful obeisance.
“Thank you for joining us Gleaming Heart,” Kyra said with a nod of her own.
“I am not ‘Heart’ yet Captain. Until I have fully matured, I am still ‘Spark’.
“Ah, my apologies,” Kyra told her dropping her head to acknowledge her regret at the mistake, “Regardless, welcome to the bridge.”
“No apology needed, and it is a pleasure to be here Captain,” The Princess responded. “What is our destination?”
“I have records of a place known as the ‘Six-fold Graveyard’,” Kyra explained. “Supposedly difficult to navigate for those with lesser technology than us. We will stop there for material harvesting and some extended ship tuning.”
“Interesting. After that?”
“After that?” Kyra mirrored, speaking to the monitor displaying the lovely yellow star of the Brood’s ‘27th System’. Her hand brushed the back of the seat, running across the inscribed text.
“After that we are headed past the Galaxy Core.”
“You intend to travel a long path.”
“Yes, yes we do.”
I can show you the world,
Though I cannot lead the way.
Follow the starlight.
They looked more bug-like than the Queen ‘seated’ comfortably in the display to her right. More bug-like than the greater majority of Gleaming Heart’s young sprouting Brood.
But as far as she could tell they were actually mammals with stringy hair, huge bulbous eyes and webbed wings. They somehow managed to look like flies. Yet they were remarkably polite.
“As relayed by the Chaplain of the Guiding Light, I am the system correspondence point of contact for the Hoursey Dedicate. I am Priest Ersherp Versh and current speaker for the Union. It is always a pleasure to meet a new being and a new member of the galactic community.”
“Greetings Ersherp Versh, as previously stated, I am Captain Kyra Lynn of the Omega, pleased to make your acquaintance.”
“Indeed,” The webbed wings fluttered and spread fully as he spoke. “I have taken time to review the contents of your message to the Guiding Light. While it pains me greatly, I must bear my regret and inform you that we cannot allow passage through our territory, nor that of the Union we currently represent. You will have to detour slightly, though it may cost you some time to circumnavigate our space.“
Some time’ equated to at least a solar year and a half, but Kyra wasn’t surprised. “May I ask for your reason?”
“Of course, It eases my heart, if only a little, to explain,” The alien began. “You claim to be Human, but while we have never encountered you, we are still aware of you.”
Kyra’s lips pressed together with unsurprised annoyance.
“There have been claims and complaints about the conduct of your race at home, and many are reluctant to allow you such simple access to the stars…”
“The right of the dispossessed,” Kyra cut in.
The alien froze as she said something he hadn’t expected.
“I am exercising the right of the dispossessed to seek a new home and a new future.
“My mind shakes in surprise and confusion!” The alien responded, his wings buzzed and he almost lifted off his seat. “How did you know of such a thing? And a race like yours has chosen to pursue it?”
“The Tet Techak Let have taken everything from us, but not before we got back a little of our own,” she told him. “Thanks to that, we gained the necessary knowledge. We understand the requirements and limitations involved.”
A stick-thin limb with knobby joints rose up and he[?] rubbed nervously at the flesh around his eyes. “But do you know all of it?” he questioned, “The cost of exercising this gifted right?”
“Yes,” Kyra Lynn replied. “I do.”
They all knew.
I will forever welcome you as you are,
Thus I will never seek to wash away your past.
Escape into the oceans deep for that release.
If there are villains, then it stands to reason that there are Heroes. Those Heroes, cognizant of the responsibilities they have undertaken, then often seek to leave a legacy.
These Heroes had been gone a very long time, little more than the knowledge of their existence remained. Their territories had gained a new name in their absence.
They were now only known as the First Ascended. Their empire had quietly earned a new name. ‘The Patient Garden’. As its name suggested, it waited.
The Ascended were first race to reach the stars, the first race to build a grand intergalactic empire within what the Humans knew as the Milky Way. Then the first to give it all up. They had long since disappeared. But they had left behind a legacy. The systems they had once called their own had been made fallow. A few of the uninhabitable systems were populated by an AI race whose name translated loosely to Guardians of Hope.
There were none as advanced and as dangerous as the Guardians. But they were not a dangerous enemy to those who left well enough alone. They existed to guard the worlds of the First. Although… their enemies waited. The Guardians, limited in their region of occupation and the resources contained within, were on decline.
Those worlds waited for the dispossessed. Those peoples and races who had lost their original homes and now searched for a new home. Still there was a price.
One of the Guardian fringe worlds of The Patient Garden came awake as a new visitor arrived.
I can push you forever onwards,
But I may not choose your destination.
Ask only thy heart for this.
It had been six years since they had left home. Folding their way across the galaxy was far faster than old ‘conventional’ methods. But it was by no means ‘instant’. After arriving at their new home they had spent a year transferring what they needed from the ship to the planet.
The planet they had named Elysium welcomed them. Omega slowly worked its way through the final steps of shutdown and stasis. It would be made into a satellite, waiting around the orbit of Elysium for a day they hoped would never come. Waiting in the Heavens and guiding travellers as an unwavering beacon. But a weapon held in the hand suggested a battle was soon to follow. While they were not required to scuttle Omega, it could not remain active. So it would be a new North Star.
They had met friendly forces and fended off cruel opportunists. The Omega hadn’t once let them down. Now it would help people find their way as they nurtured their new home. Gleaming Heart had settled comfortably alongside the Humans. She had adjusted her brood. Prior Queens bred quickly and endlessly to build up their hordes, but this new home inspired a new mindset in her as well. Her brood would be calm and long lived to provide guidance for their soon to be shorter lived companions. They would be wise and patient, a necessity with the playful Humans she had made her friends.
Already her plans and intentions had shown their worth. The Humans, once wary and careful, now lived alongside this brood as if it was only natural.
Kyra Lynn brushed the inscription on the back of the chair once again. She long knew the words by heart, but the tactile reminder was Important. No one had placed them there. No living person who’d ever been aboard. Those words had been there for the sake of the captain of the Omega.
IT had placed them there. That chaotic mind within the grey Mass that had built this ship.
She considered the blue marble on the bridge monitor. So unlike the Earth she knew, old Gaia, choked with pollution and overpopulation. So like the old vids of the Earth that once was. Brilliant blue waters, rugged landscapes and puffy white clouds.
The price of this home was simple, and yet profound.
To exercise the right of the dispossessed, the right given by the Guardians, you had to give up.
On Revenge.
To Live there the people had to give up on Revenge. To let go thoughts of Retributions. To discard the idea of Justice against those who forced the migration. The Patient Garden only permitted those with an eye to a new future.
It had been a bittersweet decision, and yet it had been so right. To live here, Humanity had to move past the history that brought them here. To live here demanded they be better. Still, they had settled on the fringe. The stolen records suggested the decline of the Guardians. Humanity wouldn’t go looking for a fight, but if one came to them, they’d be ready.
And it helped, the knowledge of the Avenger they had left behind. Even though the last of Humanity had left that Avenger to what had likely been a bitter fate. Or maybe it was still alive and still seeking retribution. Neither thought comforted Kyra.
She considered the words on the chair. This would be the last time she personally touched them. The words and the title of the poem that she considered the true name of the the Ship.
Kyra Lynn clasped her hands behind her and walked to the bridge exit of the Rubicon. At the door she hesitated, she turned her head and repeated the words she had said when they had left the Solar System. But the message had changed slightly.
“Sorry,” she said aloud. ‘For leaving you behind,’ she thought to herself.
“And Thank You,” she said. ‘For giving us hope.’
Captain Kyra Lynn faced forward, squared her shoulders and marched out the door. It slid shut with the slightest hiss.
I am the wind,
There is no horizon that I cannot transcend.
And I am to be yours.

The attraction from females during semen retention is now discovered by pick up artists too

Kinda funny, was browsing this PUA forum and what do I come across? A guy who decided to stop fapping and to his amazement he noticed how women all over just responded to him way better and gave him alot of interests and flirting. Ofcourse, the whole thread basicly tells him its placebo, as usual.

This is what he said:

There's already a well-established thread on the RVF forum dedicated to discussing the merits of practicing no-fap, but I feel very strongly that this one issue is so significant that it warrants its own thread: the phenomenal effects that many men have reported whilst engaging in abstinence from masturbation, including myself, especially in terms of generating female attention. These effects, at least in my own case, have mostly taken the form of extremely strong IOIs from random women on the street but have also included a heightened receptivity of women to being approached.
Since I hit day nine of my no-fap journey, I went from invisible in the eyes of women to suddenly being noticed, with women casting me discreet but still noticeable side glances at first. Not only this, but the couple of women that I did approach who'd I'd noticed doing this were extremely receptive to my indirect approach, but ultimately conceded that they had boyfriends, even though they'd been on the verge of giving me their phone numbers. This phenomenon is in stark contrast to how women had behaved for the first six months of my time in Leipzig, i.e., by rolling their eyes if they noticed me making eye-contact with them and looking visibly pissed off, or otherwise flicking their heads away quickly if I glanced at them as if they were trying to clear their hair of wasps. This was pretty much the same experience that I'd had with British women on the street, so it's something I'd already come to expect from women in the Western hemisphere.
But in the last few days, these IOIs have been getting stronger and much more obvious. Today after I had finished work and headed into Leipzig, I had a very cute girl in a beret, probably around the age of 30, make sustained eye-contact with me as she was passing me in the opposite direction who flashed me a wry smile after we'd eye-fucked a little. About half an hour later I saw the same woman and, bingo, the same procedure as last time, but an even more sustained look this time. I resolved there and then to do a direct approach, but I lost her after she had quickly disappeared into one of the bookstores. Even crazier things happened after I did my nightly shopping tonight, though: I was in one of the aisles in my local supermarket and become aware of a woman, student-type in her mid-20s, suddenly looking at me as a I turn around. Feeling extremely horny after having ramped up my zinc this morning and registering day 28 of no-fap, we just stare into each others' eyes for what seems like an eternity, but which was probably around 4 or 5 seconds. I could truly cut the sexual tension with a knife and she ended up biting on her bottom lip as I was doing this. I also had other girls checking me out in the same supermarket, girls giving me long stares down the aisles. The cherry on the cake came when I was at the checkout and a MILF carrying a leopard-skin bag and kitted out in denims kept glancing up as she was putting her shopping into her bag and smiling directly into my eyes. I look around me to check she wasn't perhaps smiling to somebody she knew behind me, but there's just this woman who seems totally oblivious to what's taking place. The woman in the leopard-skin bag even seems to break out into a little jig as I stare back into her eyes. This all happened in the past half-hour or so and I feel like either I've truly lost the plot and ended up in la-la land or this no-fap is some potent shit that really is still far too much under the radar on this forum and elsehwhere.
If there is one thing that has transformed the attention I get from women it is no-fap and I've tried a boatland of things: working out, dressing better, nootropic stacks, different types of openers and venues, but no-fap takes the cake by an insane margin. It's so potent in terms of the positive attention you'll receive from random women, you'll think you've crossed the rubicon of sanity. As I'm writing this I can hardly believe what I've just experienced in the last few hours, it's that mental, it's that intense. I feel like wherever I go now, I'm a casino.
Aside from the benefits of vastly increased female attention, the benefits to other areas of your life, such as vastly increased energy, improved cognitive ability and confidence are also worthy of their own threads, but I don't have the time to do that here.
You guys really need to get with no-fap programme, especially those amongst you who are struggling to get IOIs and positive responses from approaching women. It's been nothing less than a game-changer for me. As for any guys that have experienced these results for themselves, it would be good to read more about them here.

I just published a book about drugs and I am donating the proceeds to MAPS
About a year and a half ago I started writing a personal memoir about my experiences in music festivals, which is kinda funny, because prior to a year and a half ago I had never gone to a music festival. I had no experience with drugs, this type of music or these types of events. - Did I mention I am 36?
I ended up going out every night and every weekend for the next four months, going to all the major festivals, and then ending at Burning Man. I turned the memoir into a sort of Roman a’clef of a real time account of someone experiencing these things for the first time. Going from a cynic, to a true believer, and seeing that whatever is going on at these festivals, may just be the most interesting thing going on in the world.
The Novel was just published and I am donating all proceeds - minus shipping and printing- to Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) up until Sept 5th when the Man Burns.
If you would like to get a copy of the book, follow this link.
http://amzn.com/1514361477
And here is a snippet from one of my favorite chapters. The point at which the “lead” character tries Ecstasy for the first time. The moment everything changed for him.
..........
I PULLED OUT a purple pill that had a thumbs up symbol stamped against its side. I looked at that pill, it looked like a piece of candy. Pills seemed dangerous to me, years of learned behavior from taking medicine from the doctor I guess. I felt like this little pill could kill me. I remember talking to one of my tech friends, he believed the reason tech people weren't afraid of pills was because their parents had been giving them Adderall since they were nine years old, thinking their ADD and borderline Asperger's was something to be fixed.
I put the little colorful orb into my mouth, took a swig of water, and swallowed. It was done. I had just crossed the Rubicon, and it didn’t even feel like a big deal.
PEOPLE FUCKING ENJOY this feeling? It’s all I could think. I was dizzy, I had anxiety, my body temperature was changing, and I had already drank about a liter of water since I dropped the pill. I had to fight every urge within me not to just go lay under a tree and fall asleep. Why would anyone want to have this feeling? Why the fuck was this the most popular drug in the dance scene!? Was I really that different from everyone? This is what rolling felt like?
I was at the main stage watching Moby perform. I expected him to play his own music, but he was doing a normal DJ set. He looked like he was having fun as he conducted the audience through the rhythm being programmed on his controller. I looked around, wondering if everyone was feeling the way I was. It was like asking for a piece of candy, only to stick a sour ball into your mouth.
I was out of water, and I could barely fill my camelbak. Everything was just harder. I had to keep moving. I saw the recycled can shrine in the distance, and figured that was as good a place as any. If I stopped moving, I’d die.
I watched as the Transformations, high on acid, tried to find meaning where there was none. Chanting to this holy shrine, hoping it would talk back. Maybe it did. I must have known 20 people at this festival, yet Token and Nickel were the only ones I ever saw. Where was everyone? I needed a fucking friend! I needed to tell someone I wasn’t doing good, I needed someone to hold my hand. I was so lonely, here among all these people, so lonely! I needed to be touched and hugged… FUCK!
I began to walk back to the main stage when my feet started lifting from the ground, I started to fly, just a little bit, you know, like the astronauts on the moon, every step is twice as high as it should be. I could feel the wind against my ankles, pushing me side to side as I bounced, like a sail on a boat.
I knew drugs were about escape. I knew ecstasy was about getting away from it all, but who the hell wanted to get away from it all like this? Influenza helps you escape life too. It overpowers all of your problems, but the new problem was even worse. Were people really this fucked up? Had humanity fallen so far that it would rather embrace this sickness than live in the real world?
By the time I made it back to the main stage, I could no longer control my feet, they were now bouncing with the music. I must have been jumping 10 feet into the air with every new electronic sound. I started flapping my hands, thinking I might be able to hover above the audience, but it did not work. I wanted to dance. I wanted to dance alone. I wanted to embrace this suck that was being all alone among thousands of people rolling on this horrible drug for no reason that I could understand.
I walked into the middle of the audience, moving with the music, my legs were getting lighter and lighter. I felt myself losing control. I hate that feeling, I hate the feeling that I can not coordinate my thoughts, speech and movement. It was an utterly awful feeling. I couldn’t wait for this high to go away, I couldn’t wait to be myself again.
I watched the stage and effects. It was an amazing stage, LED screens shown brightly behind the DJ booth, silhouetting him. Then the LED lights started to move, they were moving back and forth, They were changing their depth. I had no clue lighting effects could even do this. I had never seen such an elaborate stage. The lights became brighter, the colors became thicker. They were the most beautiful lights I had ever seen. I fucking wish I hadn't taken this stupid drug so I could experience them in a lucid state. How the hell did they make the lights so beautiful? Then, what? The stage started changing shape, but it was so organic. The screens started moving backward and forward, but almost at the same time. It was like watching a 2-d movie then putting on 3-d glasses. But I was already in 3-d, how the hell were they doing this? I half wanted to send the production crew an email that instant to congratulate them on breaking all the laws of optics in their stage design.
I turned to my left, the Woogie stage was about half a mile away, I wanted to see the lights pushing through that giant tree… But I stopped as my eyes gazed upon the Shrine that was at least a football field's distance from where Moby was playing. It had moved, it was closer, a lot closer, it was bigger too. Except it wasn’t. It was the same distance, just bigger and brighter, and closer, but not.
Wait, it wanted to see me. I don’t know how a building can want to see someone, but it wanted to see me. It hadn’t changed distance, it had changed the amount of presence it had in this universe. It was getting bigger just for me, just to tell me something.
As I walked towards it, it stopped calling, it was guiding me, not calling me, it wanted me to get away from the main stage, it wanted me to come towards it so I could have a new vantage point on the ravine below. Up and down those pathways that linked the two districts were people walking to the different parts of the festival. But they were not people, they were fellow players. Most of them were in well-seasoned groups, but not me, I was all alone. I knew this mission. I had played it before on my old Sega Genesis. I had to put together a team. I needed a well-seasoned group so that we might explore some cave just outside of town. It was a dangerous cave, but if we were sure of heart, and had faith, we might be able to fight to the end, where a wizard lived. He would give us a great prize.
I stepped forward, as I got closer to the edge, I realized the other teams were not all human. They took on human shapes, but like, elves or gnomes or hobbits, they were different variations of our species. They wore magical gear that lit up with their powers. Some of this gear increased wisdom, other gear allowed them to fight better. For some reason, I thought of my friend Wolfgang. I knew he was here. I imagined he had a hat they gave him charm and boots that increased his charisma.
I walked down that gorge, past a small renegade camp, and made my way up to the Woogie stage. I did not make much eye contact, I didn’t know if we were all in this together, or if the other teams were my enemies. However, I was smart enough to understand that I was a lowly level one, and anyone here could take me out with a single swipe of his sword, or some sort of flame ball wizard spell.
It was hard to determine what was far and what was near, I intellectually knew the stage was close, but it looked miles away. Before I could think on this, I had realized it was now right in front of me.
I decided to explore the city that surrounded the stage, I walked into an art installation and was handed a pair of 3-d goggles, no 4-d, I was already in 3-d, no 5-d, that’s right, I had already crossed into the 4.
The installation was amazing, the paintings reached out at me from the walls. The ground moved like waves. And in that moment, I understood. All of this was built for me, not me, but people like me, people rolling on molly, experiencing acid, dancing on G. It was all about increasing the fun. It was fun. An entire industry, worth billions of dollars, was built around these substances. All to enhance each person's high. I guess it was no different than a pub. Except that this blew the shit out of watching a football game while drinking a fancy craft beer.
My mind remained lucid. I could still think, I could still feel, I was still exactly the person I always was, just the best version of that person.
The fake trees surrounding the Woogie stage were lit up in brilliant neon colors, they were so vivid, I tried to figure out how much of the light was coming from the actual LED’s and how much was my imagination being altered by the drug. It was like the taste of a sweet juice after a long hike, your mouth is so dry that the flavors seem to penetrate each and every pour inside of it, replacing that salty dryness with delicious goodness. The lights were like that, but for my eyes.
The trunks of the trees looked like they were reaching for the stars, jutting up thousands of feet, or maybe ten, I didn’t trust my senses anymore. They created a canopy high above the dance floor, and I wondered what it would feel like to climb to the top, to look down upon all these fellow players. Was I the hero of this game? I think I may have been. Whatever the case, I had lost track of my mission. I was still trying to figure out what I was doing here, at this festival, at this, Lightning in a Bottle. I walked to the stage, then back to the dance floor. I walked from tree to tree. I explored the new senses. I had fun figuring out what was real and what was not. I guess it was all real though. I shouldn’t lessen my feelings by saying they are fake.
I remember when I was a kid, my grandparents lived out on the Chesapeake Bay. They had an orchard in their front yard, an old shed and an old fishing boat in their backyard.
Inside the house were a series of little storage rooms, they had a couple attics, you had to walk through one of these attics to get to my grandfather's office, my grandfather was so old that he never climbed up to this room anymore, it was this ancient office that time had forgotten, I walked inside and felt like an explorer opening up a mummy’s tomb for the first time. His desk still had paper and pens on it, there were old books next to it. I traced my finger through the dust that lined the wooden desk and made a picture, instantly feeling bad about disrupting this peaceful place.
I wonder how big these rooms would be if I went back today, I wonder how big the yard would be. I wonder if I would be amazed at all by that old house, if I would explore it, try to figure out my place there. We live in this giant fucking amazing planet, surrounded by giant fucking amazing things, and we just go about our day, never realizing that we live in the most amazing time in the history of forever.
I was a kid. I was playing. I was exploring this house, this neighborhood for the first time. I had been so wrong, I had been so wrong about everything. This drug was not about escaping, it was about living, it was about reminding you what it was like to be a kid again, what it was like to play. Life is so good and so few of us seem to realize it. I wished the world could feel what I felt.
It didn’t last long, the main effects wore off in about an hour. I still felt good, content, and happy, but I was now myself again. I was now alone in this giant festival. I walked across another ravine. I now had my bearings and could see Fernando’s tent in the distance. That red tent of love.
It’s a strange thing to be content with the friends you have and yet still seek out new ones. The problem with old friends is that they are old, they are set in their ways. If you decide to take on a new calling, a new life, you will have to sacrifice many of your relationships. As I walked into Fernando’s tent I saw faces I barely knew, people I had bumped into one or two times. These were not good friends, but if I were to keep exploring the festivals, I had to get to know them, I had to find camaraderie somewhere within this tent. I was satisfied with my friends. I had the greatest friends in the world, yet here I was, in a place that none of my good friends would ever venture, or even understand.
And then I was greeted. “Welcome to Fernando’s Tent of Love,” she said. It was Elache. My heart had a special place in it for Elache. She didn’t recognize me at first. I pulled off the hat and bowed.
“You seem to always be there when I need you.” I said. “Yea, okay... Oh hi?” She replied, she was acting weird, probably tripping, “I’m really glad you are here.” She said it in a stern and frank way. But I could tell by her body language she meant it. She was just fighting something off. She gave me the most she had at that one moment. Aren’t we all trying our best?
She was my mission. She was the princess I needed to find. I remembered, she gave me this mission a long time ago, I just hadn’t realized it was a mission until right now. I smiled, and then walked inside of her castle.
The place was bustling with energy. It felt like an illegal casino operating within the confines of post World War II Berlin. Fernando was on stage, making his plea for votes, while a DJ played deep house behind him.
I saw Wolfgang in the corner. I had only known Wolfgang for a few months, but I very quickly learned to respect his style. He was a good man who had the ability to connect different types of people from different areas of expertise and help them combine their knowledge into something new.
I looked to a large cage in the middle of the room and saw Avalon, who was Wolfgang’s girlfriend. She was hooping to the music, I hadn’t realized that she was a hooper. I didn’t know her well, but she had a scientific mind and I always enjoyed talking to her. I once heard her give a speech on the benefits of Psychedelic drugs, and for the first time could understand where she was coming from. I wanted to grab her, hug her, and explain that I finally understood. But ours was a young friendship and I hadn’t determined our boundaries yet. This entire festival would now be different, this entire experience started now. I was no longer alone.

I just published a book about drugs and I am donating the proceeds to MAPS

I posted this on drugs, can't believe I didn't think to post it here!

And here is a snippet from one of my favorite chapters. The point at which the “lead” character tries Ecstasy for the first time. The moment everything changed for him. - through a series of events, he found himself trying to alone, not knowing what to expect. ..........................

ELI5: What is a "rubicon level" in currency value, and why do they exist?

I have been following the CAD-USD exchange rate (because being canadian these days is like living in a sad casino where you are forced to play), and they keep mentioning htese certain price points, which they call rubicon levels (in some articles), that if it crosses this point, then that will effect significant change. Why? Are these just arbitrary benchmarks?
